'CLONES CAPTURE CUP IN FRONT OF RECORD CROWD
There was nothing minor-league about the scene inside U.S. Bank Arena Thursday night as the Cyclones became the first Cincinnati pro sports team to win a championship since 1990. Cincinnati beat Las Vegas 3-1 in Game 6 of the Kelly Cup Finals, making Cincinnati Title Town in the ECHL.

JACKALS PROTECTED LIST RELEASED
The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today their protected list from players on the 2007-2008 roster. There is no limit to the number of players an ECHL team may protect provided the players protected meet the guidelines as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association. Those guidelines state that teams shall retain the rights to each player that:

CINCINNATI WITHIN ONE WIN OF THE CUP
The Cincinnati Cyclones still haven't lost consecutive games in this year's ECHL playoffs. Should Cincinnati be able to keep that trend intact, it will hoist the Kelly Cup on either Thursday or Saturday at the U.S. Bank Arena.

TV TIME FOR JACKALS ON WETM-2
The Elmira Jackals, in conjunction with WETM-2, today announced the schedule of games that will be televised during the 2008-2009 regular season. The second year of the two-year partnership will again see the Jackals featured twelve times live on WETM-2. All live telecasts will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of the April 1st game (7 p.m.) with an encore presentation of each game broadcast airing at 4 p.m. the following afternoon.

The Elmira Jackals, in conjunction with the ECHL, released its 72-game regular season schedule for the 2008-2009 campaign. The schedule once again features a heavy emphasis on divisional play with the Jackals facing North Division foes 62 times, including Elmira’s season opener October 17th at First Arena against the Reading Royals in a 7:35 p.m. face-off.

14 JACKALS SELLOUTS HIGHLIGHT BANNER YEAR FOR ECHL REGULAR SEASON ATTENDANCE
The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, registered 14 of the league’s 51 sellouts as 11 teams increased their attendance during the 2007-08 campaign. As a result, the ECHL celebrated its 20th season by being the only minor professional hockey league to raise its attendance in 2007-08.

JACKALS SEASON ENDS SUDDENLY IN DOUBLE OVERTIME THRILLER
Kevin Saurette scored from between the circles 12:09 into the second overtime to send the Reading Royals to the North Division finals with a 5-4 win over the Elmira Jackals Sunday before 3,083 fans at Sovereign Center. The first round playoff loss ends Elmira’s inaugural season in the ECHL after the club finished second in the division during the regular season.

OVERTIME LOSS PUSHES JACKALS AGAINST THE WALL
Brock Hooton scored the overtime winner for a second consecutive Saturday as the Reading Royals slipped past the Elmira Jackals 2-1 in Game Five of their North Division semifinal series. The Jackals now trail the best-of-seven series 3-2 with Game Six Sunday in Reading beginning at 5:05 p.m. Elmira needs a win to prolong their season and set up a deciding Game Seven Monday night at First Arena.

THREE-GOAL THIRD LIFTS JACKALS TO 5-2 ROAD WIN
Benoit Doucet scored the eventual game-winning goal and set up two others as the Elmira Jackals picked up a 5-2 win over the Reading Royals in Game Four of their North Division semifinal series Thursday night in front of 4,183 fans at Sovereign Center. The win evens the best-of-seven series at two games apiece and regains the home ice advantage for the Jackals. Game Five is Saturday night at First Arena in a 7:35 p.m. face-off.

JACKALS BOLSTERED BY RETURN OF MAY AND KUDELKA
The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that center Scott May has been returned on loan from the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League while defenseman Tomas Kudelka was reassigned to Elmira from Binghamton (AHL) by the Ottawa Senators (NHL). Both players are expected to be in the line-up Tuesday night for Game Three of the North Division semifinals against the Reading Royals. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. at First Arena.

Bruce Watson scored the lone goal at 8:50 of the final period and Joel Martin turned aside all 34 shots as the Elmira Jackals slipped past the Reading Royals 1-0 in front of 3,473 fans at First Arena Friday. The win gives the Jackals a 1-0 lead in their best-of-seven North Division semifinal series that resumes tomorrow night in Reading.

MARTIN LOANED TO BINGHAMTON
The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that goaltender Joel Martin has been loaned to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. Martin practiced with the Senators this morning and will dress as the back-up to starter Jeff Glass tonight as Binghamton hosts the Hershey Bears at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena (7:05 p.m.).

Stephen Wood’s right wing drive found the back of the net with 3:53 left in regulation as the Trenton Devils tripped up the Elmira Jackals 3-2 Wednesday night in front of 3,238 fans at First Arena. Despite the loss, the Jackals clinched second place in the North Division as Reading lost to Johnstown 4-1. Benoit Doucet scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Elmira Jackals to a 7-2 win over the Dayton Bombers Saturday night in front of 5,749 fans at the Nutter Center in Dayton. The win snapped the Jackals’ two-game losing streak and allowed the club to pick up one point on Reading, 7-6 overtime losers to Wheeling, in the North Division race for home ice. Elmira sits in second place with 85 points and four games remaining while Reading has 83 points and three games left on its regular season schedule.

FORMER JACKALS GOALIE DEBUTS IN NHL
The Elmira Jackals, in conjunction with the ECHL, proudly announce that former Jackals goaltender Dan LaCosta became the 352nd player to play in the National Hockey League after playing in the ECHL when he played the final 13:09 and made five saves for the Columbus Blue Jackets in a 3-0 loss at Nashville on Tuesday.
